Ball tampering: ICC will not tolerate dishonesty in the game, the culprits will now get a strict punishment

The ICC has taken a firm step to tamper with the ball on the field. The player found guilty of ball-tempering can now be banned from six Tests or 12 one-day internationals. The ICC has made it a crime of Level Three and added indecent and personal misbehavior in this list to ensure better conduct on the field.

At an annual meeting held in Dublin, the ICC also introduced its plan to curb unfair treatment on the field. During the third Test against South Africa in Cape Town in March this year, Australian cricketers Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft were found guilty of changing the ball position, after which the ball tampering was made to level two to three in the ball tampering.

Even after this, the reduction of this kind of cricket on the cricket field was constantly coming out. Recently, Sri Lankan captain Dinesh Chandimal was also found guilty in the ball-tampering case. ICC Chairman Shashank Manohar said, "My colleague and board director were unanimous about supporting the recommendations of the Committee of Cricket Committee and Chief Executives for the better behavior of the game."

According to the statement of the ICC, if the player or assistant staffer wants to appeal against the decision, the appeal fee will be deposited in advance and the return will be returned if the appeal is successful. The instructions attached to the stump microphone have also been modified so that any time the stump microphone will be allowed to air the audio, even after the ball is dead.

Even the concerned board can now be made accountable for the behavior of its players. The ICC management will now work closely with Zimbabwe Cricket to prepare plans for the management of its cricket, management and financial structure, which will be reviewed regularly.

The ICC also agreed to approve the representative of the Sports Minister of Sri Lanka to sit in the board and supervisor in the full council. Although the ICC has asked Sri Lanka Cricket to conduct elections within six months and in the absence of this, the membership of the SLC will be considered.
