People
outside Pakistan's army headquarter shout slogans of ISI Murdabad. After the
allegation of interference in the elections on intelligence agency ISI, people
performed at night in Rawalpindi on Saturday night. One day earlier, Islamabad
High Court Justice Shaukat Siddiqui had claimed that ISI makes judges' benches
in different cases. The purpose of the intelligence agency is to make the
decisions of the lawsuit according to it. According to Siddiqui, the ISI has
told the Chief Justice that Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Sharif should not come out
of jail before elections on July 25 at any cost. Justice Siddiqui has accused
ISI of interference in all judicial decisions.
Justice
Shaukat made serious allegations against the ISI in a meeting of the Rawalpindi
Bar Association. He said that Pakistan is going through a bad phase, because
the media and the courts are under the control of the gunmen (army). The army
gives instructions to the media. Courts are not free. There is pressure on the
media, so they are not speaking the truth.
Justice
Siddiqui said that the ISI has instructed that I should not be included in the
hearing of cases related to Nawaz Sharif and Maryam. The Chief Justice has
promised to the ISI that his wish will be made in the Sharif case. Shaukat
Siddiqui said that the ISI had also offered to me that if I worked according to
him, they would make me a Chief Justice, but I refused his offer saying that I
would prefer to die more than selling my own conscience.
