T-20: India beat England, Kohli achieved yet another milestone.


Team India started the England tour with a spectacular win. India beat England by 8 wickets in the first T-20 match played on Tuesday. In this series of 3 matches, India has taken a 1-0 lead. Hero of the match, was the centurian K.L. Rahul, but captain Virat Kohli also has a big achievement in his match. Virat Kohli has become the fastest batsman to score 2000 runs in T20.

Virat scored 20 runs and completed 2000 runs in his 60th match. Kohli has played just 56 innings for this. Prior to Virat, three players have been able to score more than 2000 runs in the international T20. But Kohli is the fastest to get there. Before that, New Zealand's Brendon McCullum, Martin Guptill and Pakistan's Shoaib Malik have made more than 2000 runs in the smallest format of the game.

What happened in the match?
Team India defeated England by 8 wickets, thanks to Lokesh Rahul's second T20 century and Kuldeep Yadav's five wicket win in Manchester T20. Virat Brigade has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match T-20 series. Batting first, the England team, losing 8 wickets in 20 overs, scored 159 runs and set a target of 160 runs to win Team India.

Rahul's second Twenty20 century
Rahul scored an unbeaten 101 not out in 54 balls with 10 fours and five sixes. This is his second century in T20. He has become the second batsman in India to score two hundreds in T20
Before that Rohit has scored two centuries in T20. Rohit scored 32 runs in this match and shared a 123-run partnership with Rahul for the second wicket. Kuldeep Yadav was awarded the Man of the Match award for his outstanding performance.
